ShoreMaster and
GalvaFoam have introduced their latest line of products, the DocKit
Kit Dock. Using the foundation of the respected GalvaFoam marina docking
systems, the DocKit offers residential dock buyers the opportunity
to have the same quality dock used in commercial applications.
The DocKit kit
docks are designed with the customer, and the lakes each customer
is on, in mind. Starting with uncovered slips from 10’ wide
by 24’ long and ranging to two slip docks with double 12’
x 32’ slips, the DocKit covers the gamut of deepwater residential
docking needs.
Each dock is provided
with 12” galvanized truss configurations, the strongest style
of dock on the market. Roof columns, purlins, and all attaching hardware
are hot-dip zinc galvanized. Roofing materials are 26 gauge, and come
in a variety of colors and trim colors.
“ShoreMaster
has long been the leader in residential docks in the northern states”
said Southern Tier Residential Manager Ralph Peck, “and we thought
it was time that GalvaFoam be the leader in the deeper waters of the
southern half of the country. DocKit fill that need, providing the
toughest industrial application dock with the aesthetics you want
in your lake home, and giving you safety and security for years to
come.”
The DocKit docks
are available in a wide variety of decking, including ChoiceDek, Trex,
ACQ #1 Lumber, and GalvaFoam’s own dry-cast white concrete decking.
Each dock is floated on Rhino Floats, and they are shipped with drawings
for easy assembly.
“The variety
is exceptional” said Erik Ahlgren, president and CEO of ShoreMaster,
“the customer has the option of single or double slips, various
size swim patios, extra wide fingers on one or both sides, and all
of the dock accessories we offer.”
ShoreMaster offers
dock lockers, 3, 4 and 5 step swim ladders, cedar dock benches, slides,
and Home Crest Furniture.
“The response
to the DocKit has been overwhelming” Ahlgren continued “Our
newest customers to this product are mostly dock builders. Our ability
to turn around a kit dock order in 30 days puts us ahead of the local
dock builder who manufactures custom docks. Since these docks fit
almost every need, the dock builder can still continue to create his
custom specialty docks, and sell these at the same time.
ShoreMaster provides
drawings with every dock, in advance, so a dock builder or end user
can secure the necessary permits and permissions to put the dock into
service.
“We provide
technical assistance with every DocKit product.” Peck said,
“We have a service staff that will train dealers how to assemble
the docks, and cover the finer points of anchoring, and site preparation.
This is a virtually maintenance free product as long as it is installed
properly, and we take installation seriously.”
Anchoring is available
in various styles for the correct application in a given area. Pipe
and collar, cable and ramp, stiff arms, etc.. are all a part of the
DocKit buying process.
“People
recognize the value of the DocKit compared to the painted steel or
wooden docks still in use around the country, “Ahlgren said,
“and these docks are more expensive, but, the maintenance free
value and longevity of the DocKit compared to most other docks is
well worth it. We will not build a substandard dock. Our docks are
engineered by professional engineers; we follow safety codes and guidelines,
and we will not jeopardize a customer’s dock, boats and well
being by building a less than adequate dock.”
Each component
of the DocKit is designed to fit. Many interchangeable parts allow
for personal customization from the variety of offerings in the DocKit
catalogue. If you need a personal watercraft slip added, double banding
around the inside of the slip, then it’s found in the DocKit
options.
Standard DocKit
docks come with column bumpers, vinyl bumpers around all banding boards,
flotation, roofing, underwater bracing and dockside as well as shore-side
mounting brackets.
“Of course
these docks are completely compatible with the GalvaLift and ShoreMaster
Floating Boat lifts,” Peck said. “Coming to ShoreMaster
makes dock, boat lifts, and accessories a one-stop-shop. Most places
you end up having to go through 3 or more companies to get a dock,
a lift, and other accessories. With ShoreMaster, customers can do
all their designing and buying in one place”
