The City of St. Paul recently completed a restoration of Harriet Park, including new docks from ShoreMaster in Fergus Falls. Harriet Island park is across the Mississippi River from downtown St. Paul. ShoreMaster docks and new ticket booths for the Padelford Pack Boat Co. riverboat excursion firm were part of the expanded public dock space for boaters. The docks will also be the home for the Covington Inn, a floating bed and breakfast, and the No-Wake Cafe, a floating restaurant. Other features of the restoration included a bandshell designed by internationally known architect Michael Graves, a restoration of the Clarence W. Wigington Pavilion, a stone pavilion designed by St. Paul's first black architect and a large greenspace for civic celebrations and other public events. ShoreMaster has been manufacturing boat lifts, docks and related waterfront equipment for over 25 years. ShoreMaster also manufacturers and distributes a complete line of 12", 16", 20", and 24" rotationally molded floats. ShoreMaster is based in Fergus Falls.
