How do I know which canopy frame is right for my boat?
It depends on your boat and how you use it. The Traditional Canopy Frame is our most versatile and popular option, offering maximum tuck-under coverage. The Hip Roof Frame provides a sleek, modern look with excellent rain-shedding performance. The TowerMaxx Frame is designed specifically for boats with towers or biminis, giving you easy access with a push-button rear lift.
Will a ShoreMaster canopy fit my existing lift?
Yes. All ShoreMaster canopy frames are engineered to fit ShoreMaster vertical, pontoon, and hydraulic lifts. If you own a different brand of lift, you can still get ShoreMaster-quality covers through our partner site BoatLiftandCanopy.com
What canopy cover fabrics are available?
We offer three premium fabric choices:
HarborTime® – lightweight and durable with a soft cloth look.
WeatherMax® – lightweight, breathable, and colorfast with HydroMax™ finish.
13 oz. Vinyl – classic vinyl style with a durable protective top coat.
How do ShoreMaster canopies handle wind and weather?
All frames use welded construction for maximum stability and strength. Canopy covers feature vented ends to allow airflow, which helps reduce wind uplift and prevents mold and mildew buildup. The Hip Roof design also naturally sheds rain and moisture.
Can I install a canopy system myself?
Yes. ShoreMaster canopy frames are designed for quick assembly and hassle-free installation. The Traditional frame uses a 4-piece welded design, the Hip Roof is welded for durability, and the TowerMaxx uses a 9-piece welded design that assembles easily. Many customers install their canopy system themselves, though your local ShoreMaster dealer can also provide professional installation.
What size canopy do I need for my boat?
Your canopy should be large enough to completely cover your boat while allowing easy entry and exit. ShoreMaster offers multiple widths and lengths to fit most watercraft, from small fishing boats to pontoons and wake boats. A local dealer can help measure your lift and recommend the right canopy size.
Do I need a canopy skirt?
A canopy skirt is an optional accessory for the Traditional Canopy Frame. It provides extra side coverage for even greater protection against wind, rain, and sun. Skirts are especially popular for pontoon owners or those who store boats in exposed areas.
